The SDT´s still have Dyneema underneath the sandwich in the whole standing area which means any damage will remain superficial and it wont´break in 2 and it prevents to take in water. In this case it would have been enough to sand away the carbon with about 5cm to either side of the crack, inject a little resin into any cracks in the sandwich underneath and replace the carbon with a bit more carbon than there was originally. (Now they get more carbon). No need to cut any deeper. The Quatro probably is broken inside, underneath the sandwich too. Like these boards in the pictures attached. All 2009, 2010 and 2012 broken within the garantee period."
